Your input and involvement is what will keep our Chapter strong. Please give consideration to serving the chapter in any capacity, large or small. The more involvement we have from the membership, the stronger our team will be and everyone’s tasks will be easier. Together, we can make this a great group.

Vice President of Finance:
- Shall maintain compliance with ABWA National and Express Network Bylaws, rules, policies and procedures, and ABWA Proud Code of Conduct.
- Shall prepare a formal budget for the network.
- Shall be responsible for annually obtaining and filing all required IRS forms and sending copies to ABWA national.
- Shall be responsible for all monies collected, for depositing monies in the bank and for collecting local Express Network dues.
- Shall disburse money as approved by the Express Network. All disbursements shall be made by check, countersigned by the president, or in her absence, the president-elect.
- Shall present a monthly financial report to the Express Network.
- In the event that a member does not pay her local dues, shall notify the member in writing that she will be placed on national status; also shall provide the president-elect, vice president of communications and ABWA National with the names of any such network members.
- If any member current in her local dues does not appear on the network roster due to nonpayment of national dues, shall call ABWA National to 1) verify member status, and 2) determine appropriate action, if any to be taken.
- Shall help ensure the vitality of her Express Network by recruiting and retaining new members.
Vice President of Programming:
- Shall maintain compliance with ABWA National and Express Network Bylaws, rules, policies and procedures, and ABWA Proud Code of Conduct.
- Shall be responsible for the planning, selection and scheduling of educational programs/speakers for meetings and other special events as requested. In order to fulfill this responsibility, shall:
- Survey members annually to determine skills and experiences needed
- Compile data from survey
- Determine program topics that are business/market relevant based upon survey results
- Identify and secure subject matter experts within budget
- Determines specific venue (A/V and roo set) requirements for programming and reports data to president-elect.
- Provide topic/speaker info to vice president of communications for newsletter
- Conduct post-event survey to determine programming effectiveness
- Shall attempt to schedule programming that would attract non-members during campaign periods
Auditing Committee:
- Shall be appointed by the group and president
- Shall audit the vice president of Finance’s accounts annually by July 31st. Upon a vacancy of the office, or upon demand of the membership or executive board
Nominating Committee:
- Shall be elected by members of the group
- Shall nominate one or more candidates for each office to be filled and shall present the slate of candidates to the membership by the May 31st meeting
- Positions will be selected by secret ballot to serve one year or until their successors are elected. Their term of office takes effect August 1st. A majority of the members voting shall elet. No member shall serve more than two consecutive full terms in the same office.
- These dates are Nationally recognized and will take effect with the Women of Waco after Charter takes place
Standing Rules Committee:
- This committee will assist the Executive Officers team in establishing all standing rules before October meeting of the first year.
- Once the standing rules are accepted by the group, any changes will be discussed, voted on and the standing rules committee will make the appropriate changes in the WOW ABWA Express Network By Laws and present to the group
- Any member of the Chapter that would propose a change to the by-laws, shall submit in writing to the chair person of the Standing Rules Committee and the President and then will be presented to the group at the next Chapter meeting for discussion.
Hospitality Committee:
- Committee members will assist during all monthly meetings in greeting visitors, facilitating the networking prior to meeting start, and helping with getting menus filled out and helping to start on time.
- Members will appoint someone to follow up with visitors after the meeting in a note by mail or email in welcoming them to come back, and after two visits, joining our group
- Also can assist in setting up for the monthly meetings as needed
